There is a unique experience at Soundboard that I've never felt or seen at any other venue. It is a small venue, compared to arenas like The Palace, or Joe Louis, so you are much closer to the stage which is awesome but there is more to it than just close proximity. The best aspect of Soundboard, which is kind of hard to describe, is the 'bond' between the singer and/or band and the audience. The bartenders are always friendly and that is a nice touch.
There is another bar inside and the line is never very long (unlike every other concert venue). Once inside, you realize every seat in the house is a good seat. When the doors open, the staff is very helpful and friendly in helping you find your seats, which is really nice the first time you go there. There is a bar outside of the theater surrounded by chairs and sofas in animal print upholstery, which provides an energetic, yet cozy atmosphere before the show for you and your friends while waiting for the show to start. It is my favorite concert venue in Michigan. I've been to many, many concerts in Michigan, and Soundboard is a very unique, and unforgettable experience.
I am not into sports, but I love live music.
